Experience
I started my professional career in the women’s footwear sector in the markets of France, Scandinavia, Italy, Greece, United Kingdom, Benelux, Germany, United States and Spain as well. In 2006 I joined Oftex and continued with the footwear sector and I was also able to expand the range of sectors and countries. This is how I started with traditional sectors of the area as footwear components, organic and traditional wine, food and processing of plastic but also heating sector, road safety, orthopedic technology, childcare, construction, metal-mechanic industry outsourcing, accessories of bathroom and kitchen, metallic joinery, shutter and blinds, metal and plastic containers, leathers, graphic arts, shirts, citrus and Mediterranean plants.

The market in which I have more multisectoral experience is France and the French-speaking countries such as Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. I have travelled for work from Chile to Japan, passing through Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. I also have experience in Turkey, South Africa, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Mexico, Ecuador and since learning has no boundaries I hope that the list will be extended.

My main task as a manager is to turn potential consumers into loyal clients, particularly via business trips. Leaving the commercial purpose aside, this task demands a real trust-building exercise and a capacity to overcome geographical and cultural barriers. All clients are different, so a one-size-fits-all approach will never make the trick. I guide my clients throughout all the process and the commercial procedures. Fairs are my speciality. As deputy director, I coordinate projects and streamline the internationalization process so the bulk of the efforts can be put on the most important aspect: sales!

With 15 years of experience in the field of auditing accounts, I worked in all the necessary stages to become a ROAC auditor. I started as an audit assistant at BPG Auditores, and over time I began to perform senior tasks. This brought me to work as a senior auditor at MAZARS Auditores, S.A. and later, I became an audit partner at NEXO AUDITORES.

I also had the opportunity to work as a controller in the high-end massage chairs company: Eurokeyton.

Before that I founded the company UMAD XXI, where I carried out the financial and accounting tasks. I began my work experience as an administrative clerk in Medymed, a company owned by Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo (CAM; Mediterranean Savings Bank).

Due to my vast experience in the field of auditing I have had the opportunity to work in the auditing field both in the public and the private sector.

I have 10 years experience in drafting and implementing commercial strategies aimed at customer acquisition.

I have represented several companies as part of their staff and as a self-employed and, along the years, I have developed skills related to commercial leadership, negotiating techniques and teamwork.

I have taken part in negotiations in which companies such as Coca-Cola, Unilever, Mercedes, Procter and Gamble, General Electric, Nestlé, Danone or Pepsico, amongst others, were seating at the table. I have also dealt with hotel chains like Marriot, Hilton and Melia; public bodies, such as municipalities and ministries; and SMEs from different sectors.

My integration into OFTEX resulted in the creation of a sales department, which did not exist until then. For more than two years I have been developing and implementing commercial strategies to attract new clients, building customer loyalty and organizing or attending different events, always representing Oftex.

During this time I have managed to close agreements with companies from multiple sectors, such as: the fashion sector, both textile and footwear and footwear components, food sector, construction, chemical and industrial sectors. More specifically, plastic, cardboard, mattresses, leather goods, accessibility products for people with disability and machinery among others.

Finally, with my integration into Oftex the client profile has evolved from a company that did not sell outside Spain to one that has its own export department; a company we help reach markets previously unaccessible to them due to lack of time or to a human factor.

Before joining Oftex I had a fully international professional background. I have worked in different countries, such as France, Tunisia or Malta. I value particularly the two years and a half I spent in DHL Malta, where I worked in the Road, Sea and Air Freight departments.

In Oftex I am responsible for several countries, with a special focus on the European Union (i.e. France, Netherlands, United Kingdom) and Latin America (i.e. Mexico, Colombia, Chile). The commercial work I do in those markets covers many sectors, including plastics, footwear, wine, infrastructure and industry.

Given my background, my work experience began approximately 3 years ago focused on the national and international legal field. During this stage I worked assisting companies in industrial property matters, managing and assisting in the resolution of trademark conflicts. But the taste for the unknown, coupled with the passion to learn from other cultures, led me in 2016 to move to Miami to work for an American international trade consulting firm. For a year my efforts were focused on helping Spanish companies in their internationalization and introduction project in North America.

At present, I am proud to be part of the OFTEX INTERNATIONALIZATION team, where I have once again come closer to the business fabric of our Community. Together with my clients, I have fully introduced myself into the wonderful world of internationalization, supporting them and helping them to grow in export. In Oftex I participate in the commercial action in USA and Italy, besides other markets. This professional stage has brought me closer to different sectors such as food (wine, olive oil, preserves, snacks, citrus,…), the fashion sector (footwear, baby clothes, leather goods,…), as well as the industrial sector (vacuum chambers, plastic bags, mattresses…).
